This position is based in Berlin and offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of Accounts Receivable operations within a dynamic, fast-growing environment. What will you do?
- Lead and manage a team of Accounts Receivable specialists
- Oversee billing and collections activities for German locations
- Monitor Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve AR processes
- Design and implement scalable processes and automation to enhance efficiency
- Support monthly closing processes and revenue recognition
- Analyze revenues, metrics, and KPIs to drive financial performance
- Act as a key financial interface for members, handling requests and inquiries
- Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams on member-related matters
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and handle escalated issues
- Coordinate with the Legal department when necessary
- Review invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and resolving inconsistencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Mandatory experience in a managerial role
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or accounting
- At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in German and English
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Excellent follow-up and organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Experience with SAP B1, Salesforce, and Monday is an advantage
- High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
- Ability to identify errors and implement corrective actions
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in teams
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to think outside the box
