Job description
Our client:
Our client is a leading global provider of payment software and managed services, headquartered in Malta. They specialize in end-to-end payment solutions for financial institutions, banks, and major international clients.
The Role:
The Test Analyst will be involved in the Software Testing Lifecycle by conducting manual and automated tests to ensure the software deliverable is fit for purpose and any defects are removed within the deliverable before it is released to the client.
Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and maintain API test cases (manual and automated)
- Test RESTful APIs for functionality, performance, and reliability
- Write and execute Postman scripts (pre-request scripts, assertions, test suites)
- Perform integration testing and validate data flows between systems
- Automate test suites using tools such as Postman, Newman, or similar frameworks
- Document and report bugs clearly, and support debugging efforts
Requirements:
- Proven experience (4+ years) in API Testing
- Proficiency with Postman (Collections, Environments, Variables, Newman)
- Strong understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, request/response structure
- Hands-on experience writing JavaScript test scripts in Postman
- Familiarity with data-driven testing and API chaining
- Understanding of API authentication mechanisms (Basic, OAuth2, JWT, API Keys)
- A good understanding in SQL
Good to Have:
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
