  • Lead the implementation and optimisation of Stripe Connect across all customer journeys, including online platforms, in-centre transactions, recurring billing, marketplace-style flows, Day Pass, meeting rooms, and digital commerce for both direct and third-party operators.
  • Define and maintain a global payment capability model covering authorisation, capture, settlement, payouts, refunds, chargebacks, dispute handling, reconciliation, invoicing, and tax.

  • Build capabilities supporting both Disclosed Agent and Principal operating models, ensuring correct handling of funds, revenue recognition, and customer communication.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Tax, Legal, and Treasury to ensure jurisdictional compliance.
  • Integrate the payment platform across websites, e-commerce journeys, digital applications, regional platforms (including China-based ecosystems), B2B workflows, CRM, ERP, billing, accounting, and identity systems.
  • Provide clear functional and technical requirements for global and regional deployments.
  • Define tax-compliant invoicing processes, including billing content handover, tax calculation, and invoice distribution across channels.
  • Ensure support for both global recurring billing models and transactional usage-based products.
  • Partner with Finance Operations and Shared Services teams to ensure accurate reconciliation, general ledger posting, and settlement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI, data protection, fraud prevention, and financial control frameworks.
  • Establish governance processes covering payment releases, exceptions, incident management, and change control.
  • Monitor and optimise performance metrics such as authorisation rates, payment success rates, cost of acceptance, and dispute volumes.
  • Act as the primary relationship lead for Stripe Connect, managing roadmap alignment, performance, commercial terms, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with global development partners across EMEA, APAC, India/China, and the Americas.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across Technology, Digital, Finance, Commercial, and Country Management to standardise global payment practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience implementing or owning a modern payment platform within a large, multi-country organisation.
  • Hands-on experience with Stripe Connect, including marketplace-style flows, multi-party payments, payouts, compliance configurations, and onboarding processes.
  • Strong understanding of payments in commercial property, retail-style, or multi-location environments with recurring billing and complex product catalogues.
  • In-depth knowledge of global payment methods, settlement processes, refunds, dispute management, and financial reconciliation.
  • Experience operating under Disclosed Agent and Principal models and understanding their impact on payments, invoicing, tax, and accounting flows.
  • Ability to define clear functional and technical requirements and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Strong familiarity with global invoicing standards, tax variations, revenue recognition, and financial operations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across regions and disciplines.
  • Experience within multinational organisations and complex digital ecosystems is advantageous.
  • Understanding of CRM, ERP, billing platforms, and large-scale digital transformation programmes is desirable.
  • Knowledge of PCI, KYC/KYB, AML, and data protection compliance frameworks is beneficial.

What you’re offered

  • Ownership of a globally strategic payment transformation programme.
  • Opportunity to design and deploy a unified, scalable global payment platform.
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership across Digital, Finance, and Technology.
  • A dynamic, international environment undergoing significant digital evolution.
  • The ability to shape modern digital commerce and marketplace-style operating models at scale.

This role is suited to a commercially aware and technically strong payments leader who thrives in complex, multinational environments. It offers the opportunity to leave a lasting impact on a global organisation’s digital and financial infrastructure.
