Job description
We are looking for DevOps Ralease Automation Engineer to work for an award-winning Forex company. Hybrid model of work in Larnaca, Cyprus!

The Role:
- Take an active role in designing, managing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, repeatable, and secure software delivery.
- Develop and maintain automated build, deployment, and post-deployment validation processes across multiple environments.
- Integrate monitoring and logging into release automation to improve visibility, reliability, and proactive alerting.
- Collaborate closely with QA, Development, and other DevOps teams to align release pipelines with testing, scalability, and reliability goals.
- Ensure smooth, uninterrupted production releases by proactively troubleshooting and optimizing processes, with rollback strategies for error recovery.
- Contribute to cost-efficient automation by analyzing resource usage and streamlining release workflows.
- Apply and promote best practices in release management, including version control and artifact handling.
- Continuously learn and improve deployment processes, incorporating new tools and technologies as needed.
- Support and maintain existing CI/CD infrastructure for performance and scalability.
- Mentor junior engineers by sharing best practices in release management, automation, and DevOps tooling.
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment strategies.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
- Solid knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Graylog).
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Practical experience implementing security best practices in CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize release pipelines in complex environments.
- Ability to adapt, learn quickly, and drive improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ability to integrate and consume REST APIs for automation and system integrations.
- Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancers, firewalls).
- Experience integrating security scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack).
- Familiarity with microservices architectures and deployment patterns.
