Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and service-driven Assistant Restaurant Manager to join a luxury hotel in Abu Dhabi and oversee operations at a signature lobby lounge and dining venue. This multi-concept outlet offers a refined yet approachable experience through artisanal tea service, gourmet deli offerings, premium pastries, and handcrafted gelato.

What will you do?

  • Oversee daily operations of a lobby-level, multi-concept dining venue encompassing tea service, gourmet delicacies, pastry counters, and gelato offerings

  • Lead a team in delivering consistent, attentive, and personalized service aligned with brand standards

  • Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and operational efficiency across all service zones

  • Ensure all team members understand and embody the outlet’s concept, service style, and guest expectations

  • Collaborate with culinary and beverage leaders to coordinate menu tastings, updates, and product presentation

  • Stay informed of F&B trends to enhance guest experience and keep the venue competitive within the local market

  • Manage POS systems, generate reports, and support budget tracking and revenue analysis

  • Control inventory and reduce waste through effective planning and coordination

  • Lead daily pre-shift briefings, ongoing staff training, and contribute to performance development

  • Ensure smooth service execution and resolve guest feedback with professionalism and urgency

  • Oversee scheduling and optimize staffing in collaboration with HR and other F&B teams

  • Uphold all opening and closing procedures and ensure operational readiness throughout each shift

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in a high-end café, patisserie, lounge, or all-day dining concept within a luxury hotel

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management preferred

  • International experience across multiple regions; Middle East exposure is a plus

  • Strong leadership presence with a hands-on approach to guest service

  • Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail

  • Understanding of boutique-style service environments, including tea culture, pastries, and gourmet retail
