As Director of Events, you will:

 

1. Strategic Event Planning & Development

  • Develop and execute a long-term events strategy aligned with the property’s positioning in the ultra-luxury market.

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to attract prestigious events—weddings, corporate summits, fashion shows, product launches, and more.

  • Conduct market analysis to design innovative event concepts that appeal to UHNWIs, celebrities, and global leaders.

  • Curate a calendar of signature events that reflect the property’s unique brand identity and competitive edge.

2. VIP Client Relationship Management

  • Own the client journey from inquiry to post-event follow-up, ensuring a personalized and exceptional experience.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for VIPs, offering concierge-level service throughout the planning and execution process.

  • Build and nurture relationships with luxury event agencies, planners, and elite clientele to secure repeat business.

3. Flawless Event Execution

  • Lead planning and delivery of all events across the resort, ensuring precision and luxury service at every touchpoint.

  • Coordinate cross-departmentally with F&B, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Security, and third-party vendors.

  • Prepare detailed briefs and contingency plans, maintaining operational excellence and brand integrity throughout each event.

4. Financial Performance & Profitability

  • Take full ownership of the events department’s financial performance—including forecasting, budgeting, and cost control.

  • Maximize profitability by upselling premium services, negotiating favorable vendor contracts, and optimizing resource allocation.

5. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the events team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver five-star service and innovation.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and cultivate a high-performing, collaborative culture.

  • Manage team scheduling and staffing in alignment with seasonal business needs.

6. Luxury Experience Design

  • Ensure every event reflects the ultra-luxury standards of the resort—from concept and aesthetics to execution.

  • Utilize post-event feedback to refine services and elevate the guest journey continuously.

  • Craft bespoke experiences that showcase the resort’s world-class features and destination appeal.

7. Vendor & Partner Management

  • Establish partnerships with best-in-class vendors (e.g. luxury florists, caterers, AV providers, designers).

  • Negotiate contracts that meet brand standards while delivering value and exclusivity.

  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure consistent excellence and alignment with brand expectations.

8. Brand & Marketing Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing to elevate the resort’s reputation as a luxury events destination through PR, digital content, and event activations.

  • Drive promotional efforts around signature events and collaborate with high-end partners and influencers.

9. Innovation & Trend Forecasting

  • Stay ahead of industry trends in ultra-luxury events, implementing cutting-edge décor, tech, and entertainment elements.

  • Regularly refresh event spaces and offerings to remain relevant and ahead of guest expectations.

10. Sustainability & Social Impact

  • Integrate eco-conscious practices into event planning without compromising on opulence.

  • Lead CSR-driven event initiatives aligned with modern luxury values around sustainability and community engagement.

 

About You

  • Proven track record in luxury event leadership, with extensive experience managing high-profile and complex events.

  • Strong background in hospitality event operations, VIP client servicing, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Financial acumen with experience in budget management, vendor negotiations, and revenue optimization.

  • Inspirational team leader with the ability to motivate, train, and build high-performing teams.

  • Deep understanding of the ultra-luxury hospitality market, guest behavior, and event trends.

  • Refined interpersonal and communication skills, with a polished, client-facing presence.

  • Passion for innovation, service excellence, and creative guest experience design.
